Hi, I’m Ian. I am a Graphic Designer based out of Portland, Oregon

I am originally from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; but Portland is the place I call home. I’m a graphic design major who graduated from George Fox University. Interests of mine range from soccer, to fashion, to film and anime, and an intense love of music.

My love for design first really came to fruition when a young teenage me had his first opportunity to make a customized pair of Nike Mercurial soccer cleats. I found enjoyment in going back and forth between every aspect of the design; from the color use, to the logo style, to the text you could put on the side. My desire to bring my design ideas to life in my hands rapidly expanded from there onward.

As a designer, I find myself very comfortable in the digital side of things. I am very drawn to the minimalist style of art, which is present in other aspects of my life such as my personal fashion. It adds a degree of organization to my work which I, simultaneously, try to never limit or reserve in terms of creativity or imagination. Designers I draw inspiration from include the likes of Alex Grey, Saul Bass, and Maurice Binder. However, much of my inspiration is drawn heavily from what I see and hear around me. I draw from images I see in media, people I see in my day, and the music I listen to. A few words is all I need to form an image in my head, and begin brining it to life in my own new way.
